beveled cut
   A bank or slope portion of a cut excavated into unconsolidated material (regolith) or bedrock as in a roadcut, whose slope gradient has been mechanically reduced to a subdued angle (e.g., to < 33 %) to increase slope stability, reduce erosion, or to facilitate revegetation.
